Who are we and what drives us to put time and energy in this website?

We are Eviatar and Wilfina, most will name us Evi & Fien. We started this website to share our inner and outer journey. The travels, our experiences, our poems, our art and our jewelry. Sharing online is a great way to reach our family, friends and new family and friends we made along the way. But with no electricity or connection, we connected more to our surroundings enjoying every minute of where we are and forgetting about the website.

All the poems stayed in the notebooks, the adventures stayed in our hearts and our art and jewelry was only visible in real life. When we arrived to Portugal, with the intention of settling down for a little while, we fioud ourselves with the luxury (YES IT IS A LUXURY!) of electricity and WiFi-connection. Finally we can share all our little brain farts & pictures we made along the way.

We are sharing our experiences but also knowledge that we gained along the way. All this wisdom came together with a big shift in our well-being. By sharing this knowledge into the world, we hope that you and others will find comfort in the journey. We are discovering, day-by-day, the secrets that life has for us, and we are happy to share our experiences and beliefs and by this cultivate the well-being of human kind and of Mother Earth.

Environmental artists?

We live in a society where our profession, our achievements, the label we put on ourselves is (almost) more important than our health and happiness. Being without a title, a ‘nobody’ almost makes us doubted ourselves, with no title to hold on to. What are we?

Vincent van Gogh, 1882

“What am I in the eyes of most people — a nonentity, an eccentric, or an unpleasant person — somebody who has no position in society and will never have; in short, the lowest of the low. All right, then — even if that were absolutely true, then I should one day like to show by my work what such an eccentric, such a nobody, has in his heart. That is my ambition, based less on resentment than on love in spite of everything, based more on a feeling of serenity than on passion. Though I am often in the depths of misery, there is still calmness, pure harmony and music inside me. I see paintings or drawings in the poorest cottages, in the dirtiest corners. And my mind is driven towards these things with an irresistible momentum.” Vincent van Gogh

To give ourselves a honest title we came up with the name ‘Environmental artists’. As we love to create art and mostly use nature and recycled for this is. Raising the awareness for Mother Earth and the sustainable way of living, is very important to us. By creating art we manage to share emotions to another, with more than just words. Sharing art can be in many different forms: dancing, drawing, writing, singing, making music, food, etc. This sharing brings us happiness and a way to express ourselves.

Environmental artists is actually a used term in the ‘art world’. YES, we managed to put ourselves in a box! Read more about it here.
